(a) When Zl is infinity, it acts as a high resistance path and hence, no current will flow. So, Zin is equal to Zo + 2Zo, that is 3Zo.

(b) When Zl is 0, it acts a short circuit path and hence, all of the current will flow through it. So, Zin is (Zo || 2Zo ) + Zo, that is (2Zo/3) + Zo, which equals 5Zo/3. (ANSWER)
