1-In his article, "Blurring the Lines between Language and Culture", Fatiha Guessabi, a professor of Languages and Translation in the Literature and Humanities faculty at the Université de Béchar in Algeria, argues that culture is a language in itself. I agree strongly with what Guessabi mentioned in the article because languages are the ways by which we can express our culture and learn other cultures, so learning a language means learning the culture and learning the culture can be done by learning the language.

Good introductory paragraph with both sentences. Is there a way you can paraphrase "culture is a language in itself"? It is too close to the original.

2-Every time I meet new friends from different backgrounds and cultures and communicate with them, I discover that the matter of communication is not only a matter of language. In my opinion, it is a matter of culture, too, so I decide to learn at least the basic things about their cultures to avoid any kind of misunderstanding or miscommunication. I totally agree with Guessabi's points about the relationship between learning language and learning culture. Both language and culture are important during the process of communication because when the people communicate with others, they express their beliefs, opinions, cultures, etc. This is what Kasanda, in one of his papers, assures, saying " Language is vital in the sense that it enables people to be able to interact or communicate effectively for the purpose of conveying a message".

It's worth mentioning that   Even if you have the perfect language skills, you may make some mistakes while communicating. No one denies that language itself is central to learning, but, from my personal perspective, it is not everything. In his article " The Relationship Between Language & Culture and the Implications for Language Teaching", Leveridge emphasis the idea of the importance of language and culture because they are rooted. He says " Language is used to maintain and convey culture and cultural ties ". There is an essential role of the teachers of language. They have to teach the culture besides the language. Students learn how to communicate with their teachers, so teachers have to learn both culture and language.

Excellent use of personal experience and research. I recommend adding one sentence that shows the connection between your ideas and the article.

3-Finally, Guessabi's point about the importance of learning language and culture at the same time is completely right. They both contribute to one's communication, and without one of them, there may be a misunderstanding, miscommunication, and misexpression. This is my perspective as well. Moreover, we don't have to forget that the language teacher has to be culturally aware.

Make sure you restate your thesis clearly. Rather than saying, "This is my perspective as well," remind the reader what you stated in your response that language isn't enough for communicating.

Can you please give me some key take away from this article? Colorblindness can be problematic because "color blindness may result in refusing to accept differences and therefore accepting the dominant culture as the norm" The only way I feel that colorblindness may benefit some students is because they are all seen as equal, but it can be a disadvantage for some because teachers struggle to see them for who they really are. "If used to mean nondiscriminatory in attitude...
