  • Sebum : secreted by sebaceous glands present in skin.
  • It may be cerumen that is earwax produced in the ear canal.Traps foreign particles entering the body.
  • Lysozyme : Found in body fluids like tears, saliva etc that fights bacteria and other micro organisms entering the body.
  • Urine : Fluid waste is excreted in this form.
  • Lactoferrin : Found in secretary fluids like saliva, milk etc. and helps fight ulcers
  • Defensins : Produced by certain WBCs and helps fight foreign micro organisms like bacteria.
  • Bacteriosins : Inhibits the growth of other related/ identical bacteria and are produced by bacteria only.
  • Transferrin : Found in blood and traps/binds to iron
  • C-reactive protein : enhances inflammatory response by white blood cells
  • Fibrinogen forms fibrin that trap the bacterial pathogens
