Using social media to connect with customers has three significant advantages over traditional methods. First, a business can engage with many people at once. Second, social media enables a business to connect with people who have already shown an interest in the company’s product or service. Third, using social media to connect with customers is far less expensive and more efficient than holding face-to-face meetings, prospecting, and traveling.

You have learned about the advantages of social media marketing in communicating with potential customers. When it comes to building a company community, it seems like social media has strong advantages over more traditional forms of marketing, including the use of other forms of media. Is this true? Do you think social media marketing will ultimately take over other forms of media advertising, making them obsolete? Why or why not?

Yes, use of social media in advertising has become the trend because of its many advantages. But it also has main advantage which is making social community over the internet in which customers who are loyal to a brand or products makes their blogs, forums etc to build a strong social community. This online social community is much more effective as compared to traditional form of marketing because in this customers who shares common factors like taste, lifestyle, interest etc come to a single platform and company can target those community and make marketing decisions. those loyal communities also help to change buying decisions of other customers which is like frosting on the cake for the company as they have to less task because community over the internet has influencing already the other customers to buy company's products.

According to me, Social medial marketing with growing use of internet will takeover the other form of marketing like newspaper, Magzines, Tv commercials etc. This social media marketing may not obsolete them but put them to decline phase because Social media marketing is cost effective, ability to access to wide range of audience in less time then what the company want from any marketing method if it is already providing all in one. so, yes social media would be the future of the Marketing for companies.
