Turbine is a rotating mechanical device which is doing useful work by extracting energy from fluid flow . Basically there are two types of turbine , mainly Impulse and Reaction turbine . Work produced by tubine can be used for generating electrical power when combined with generator .

Turbine are basically used in different areas like windpower , hydropower , etc . Turbines has mainy important parts which includes blades , gerabox , generator , bearings , etc .

Recent technolgies in turbines have came up across world . Mostly GE , L&T , etc are the companies involved in this ; nowdays 3D blades have been there in turbine to absorb or designed for high pressure and low pressure turbine modules . Mostly turbines have come up with digital display , testing programs are done to ensure components reliability . Mostly 3D blades are designed to increse rotor life by reducing thermal stress .
