short summary detailed answer on the medical condition and treatment of golfers elbow

Answer:

Golfer’s elbow is also known as medial epicondylitis, thrower’s elbow, or little league elbow. Golfer's elbow is a condition that causes pain where the tendons of forearm muscles attach to the bony bump on the inside the elbow. The pain might spread into forearm and wrist.  It occurs when more force is applied to an area than the normal healthy tissues can handle.

Most causes of medial epicondylitis may not be sport-related but caused by repetitive strain at work. People who use keyboards, or do manual labour such as carpentry/DIY – where grip strength is important, are very likely to develop overuse injuries.

medical condition of the Golfer’s elbow

# Pain when flexing the wrist toward the forearm

# Pain is worse when attempting to grip things.

# difficulty in moving the elbow

# Numbness or tingling, Sensations might radiate into one or more fingers usually the ring and little fingers.

# pain when shaking hands

#a weakened wrist

Treatment of  Golfer’s elbow

first what we can do is

# First take rest.

# apply ice to the elbow and inner part of the forearm, by doing this we can reduce the pain.

#Use a brace. Wear a counter force brace on your affected arm, which might reduce tendon and muscle strain.

#Practice strengthening exercises

#Ice – apply a cold therapy and compression wrap for 10 to 15 minutes every hour.

#Heat – after the initial acute phase, applying heat and using a heat retainer or elbow support, may be more beneficial than ice. Heat will help stimulate blood flow which aids healing.

# medicines can be used to reduce the pain, Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs such as Ibuprofen can be used in early stages.

#Electrotherapy – a physiotherapist or similar may use electrotherapy, such as ultrasound or laser treatment to help reduce pain and inflammation.

#Patients can also be treated with platelet-rich plasma injections. These can then be injected into the site of the injury where the tendon has frayed.

#surgery can be done. Surgery will be considered if other treatment options have not worked. The surgeon will remove damaged tissue. They may also remove buildups of scar tissue or extra bone, which could be putting pressure on the tendon.

#Exercising and stretching muscles in the arm can help to prevent or heal Golfers elbow.

#One important method is self-massage. Spend some time each day giving your flexor muscles some attention, as well as the tissues surrounding your medial epicondyle region. This massage can help improve the  blood flow, which aids in recovery.
