A) Think about the stoplights you have seen. In this case, we are designing a simple four-way stoplight with the values shown in the first two columns of the truth table. it is your job using what you know about digital logic (and the meanings of the ones and zeros, using the positive logic convention) to fill out the remainder of the truth table with ones and zeros.

B) Draw the Karnaugh maps for your logical truth table on a separate sheet of paper. These will help you derive the minimal circuit in terms of gates. Attach your K-maps, and write your final expressions here for each of the six outputs. While it is possible to reduce all six equations down to a total of nine two input gates (plus inverters), it is not necessary as you will not implement your design with discrete logic chips. It is completely optional, although it may simplify your schematic if you can do it.

i) G1 =

ii) Y1 =

iii) R1 =

iv) G2 =

v) Y2 =

vi) R2 =

C) Draw the resulting circuit(s) on a separate sheet of paper. If you see any combinations you can make to reduce the number of gates while maintaining functionality, you may do so now. Attach your circuit diagram.

Please show step by step, complete solution and explain if possible. Thank you so much. 3. Six-Sided Die Display Circuit In this problem, you will design a logic circuit to display the six faces of a die using 7 LEDs. For example, the value 5 is shown on the display below. Your circuit takes three bits XYZ as input and outputs the patterns shown in the table below, by lighting up the correspondind LEDs. For example, for the value 5,...

Design a state machine that implements the following description: Let’s design a simple controller for an elevator. The elevator can be at one of two floors: first or second. There is a button that controls the elevator (one input), and it has two values: up or down. Also, there are two lights in the elevator that indicate the current floor: blue for first, and yellow for second. At each time step, the controller checks the current floor and current input...

They generate the binary Sum outputs (So-S3) and the Carry output (C4) from the most significant bit. They operate with either HIGH or active LOW operands (positive or negative logic)....

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
