1:Excytose is due to influx of calcium ion When the membrane of axon terminals is artificially depolarized, an influx of Ca2+ ions into the neurons cause exocytose.

2 The opening of channels that let positive ions flow out of the cell (or negative ions flow in) can cause hyperpolarization.

3 Repolarization typically results from the movement of positively charged ions out of the cell. The repolarization phase of an action potential initially cause in hyperpolarization.

4 Graded potential caused by the influx of positively charged sodium ions into the intracellular fluid, decreasing the negativity of the charge inside the cell.

5 The primary effector action, which creates a signal that can diffuse within the cell. And this signal is called the secondary messengers.
