There seems to be a lot of effort, time, and money invested in creating efficiencies in HR through technology. Would it be more efficient to outsource these HR functions? Why? Why not?

Ans: HR function should not be outsourced to other companies. There are following reasons for it, like:

a). Employees look up to HR function of a company as a protector of their rights in the company.

b). HR function also ensures that employees are treated with care and given enough exposure for growth.

c). HR manager of a company acts as a catalyst which takes feedback from employees about their work and address any grievance.

d). If HR function is outsourced, then employees would be having less trust in the HR policies because it is taken up by an outsourced agency.

e). Investment should be made in HR function of a company to make it strong and be an example in industry.
