FOG Computing: It is one type of computing infrastructure in which the raw information or data, storage and other applications located in elsewhere some other place in the cloud itself.

Generally, people use edge computing as well as FOG computing with the same preference as they both are involved in bringing the intelligence and it processes the closer to the data from where it was born. There is a small difference between these two types of computing. Intelligence is situated in the LAN in FOG environment whereas in edge computing the intelligence is present in the devices such as automation controllers.

As we all know that it is all based on intelligence and it requires a lot of technology. so it increases a lot of laziness in humans so that they can't able to move for their urgent works also. There are a few advantages as well as disadvantages also. They are:

Advantages:

1) FOG computing supports mobility. Whatever the place we can carry with us from anywhere to anywhere.

2) It reduces the amount of data sent to the cloud.

3) It reduces internet latency.

Disadvantages:

1) A lot of privacy issues are present.

2) A lot of wireless security concerns.

3) There is a chance for the spoofing and third-party attacks i.e., hacking.
