Explanation :-

Replication is process in which DNA molecules are synthesized from pre-existing template strand. DNA polymerase is enzyme which replicate DNA in DNA replication process. But DNA polymerase can not start replication directly on DNA strand. To act on DNA strand DNA polymerase require free 3’OH group which provided by RNA primer. These RNA primer are synthesized by RNA polymerase during DNA replication and this RNA polymerase called RNA primase enzyme which synthesize RNA primer to act DNA on target DNA strand.

Transcription is process in which mRNA is produce from template strand to produce proteins in cell. The process of mRNA synthesis is carried out by RNA polymerase enzyme, which act on template strand and copy genetic information for particular protein. Transcription process complete by copying genetic information from one strand i.e. template DNA strand which is complementary to coding strand.

Prokaryotic cell does not have membrane bound organelles like eukaryotic cell. So that all process like transcription or replication takes place in cytoplasm of cell. But in eukaryotic cell these processes occurs in nucleus.
