The strut is loaded in compression by a force of 35kN, which is applied parallel to the longitudinal axis. There is an initial curvature to be observed for this strut (E = 210GN/m2, Yield stress = 300MN/m2)

  1. Determine the critical buckling load of the initial curvature.                 
  2. Find the additional central deflection that is caused due to this load.
