Read Chapter 2 and watch Week 3 Lectures. Choose a contemporary moral issue in our society (abortion) and apply the ethical principle of Utilitarianism to approve this moral issue. You must pick a moral issue that you strongly support and apply the utilitarian claims (course materials) to back up your arguments. The paper must be done in MLA format with a minimum of 500 words (quotes are not included in the word count). You must apply Bentham/Mill's "Principle of Utility" for 50 points and Bentham's Felicific Calculus for 50 points. Both are under course materials.

Abortion has become a very typicacase in our society where the larger urabanisation has supressed its voice and hence we are mute spectators of this.just because it is an social issue using Utilitarianism whwere the outcome is only depends on the final outcome and upon what it gives us.

In the prsent scenario it is the best Utilitarianism that has impact upon it becasue it gives the right to the famiily ,right to the girl to choose what they want .and it gives them the chance to save the life of the girl and than prevents everyone from unnecesary sufferings .And there is a history that abortion existed long before in the history and there is no problem if it occurs also today.Becasue we ponly want the safety of everyone.This is one of the reasons that supreme court in varios countries have made it legal.

And stating the Bentham/Mill's "Principle of Utility" we must only do thse things that are beneficial to the society or provides with pleasure to the society.And this is one of them where if someone wants to get abortion they must happily do that if that has occured before marriage and would prevent them from the society and also help them to save their face in the society.and thisis somewhat Ulititarism
