The diagram on the left is for hanging mass and diagram on the right is for mass on table.

For hanging mass, we have

T - m1g = m1a ---------- (1)

For mass on table, we have

F - T = m2a --------- (2)

combine (1) and (2)

a = F - m1g / m1 + m2

Therefore,

put in the values,

a = 30 - 3* 9.8 / 3 + 10

a = 0.046 m/s2

and the tension is

T = 29.5 N
