Answer #1

Ans- Photosynthesis is a complicated oxidation-reduction process (oxidation means removal of electrons from a molecule and reduction means gain of electrons by a molecule). During photosynthesis, light energy is used to drive the oxidation of water, thus producing hydrogen ions, electrons and oxygen gas. Then, the removed electrons and hydrogen ions are transferred to carbon dioxide that reduced to form glucose as organic products.
