according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, if the operator for two physical properties do not commute then. (pick 1 of the 4) (A) nothing can be said about the two operators. (B) the measurement uncertainties in the two properties will be the same. (C) both properties can be measured exactly. (D) the product of the measurement uncertainty of the two properties is greater than or equal to h/2pi

Answer #1

uncertainty relation between two operators A andB is given as \DeltaA\DeltaB\geq<LA. B) >

suppose we consider position X and momentum Px in place of A and B

we know that momentum and position does not commute. in fact [X,Px]=ih/2pi

hence substituting for A and B as X and Px we get \DeltaX\DeltaPx\geqh/2pi

correct answer is (D) the product of the measurement uncertainty of the two properties is greater than or equal to h/2pi

The "best" result is always associated with the measurement with the smallest uncertainty. Measurement B has half the standard uncertainty of measurement A. Therefor e our 68 % coverage probability is associated with a smaller interval (83.44 g o 83.56 g) for measurement B than measurement A (83.38 g to 83.62 g). In other words we have better knowledge about the value of the measurand from measurement B, since we have the same coveroge probability associated with a norrower interval....

This C++ Program consists of: operator overloading, as well as experience with managing dynamic memory allocation inside a class. Task One common limitation of programming languages is that the built-in types are limited to smaller finite ranges of storage. For instance, the built-in int type in C++ is 4 bytes in most systems today, allowing for about 4 billion different numbers. The regular int splits this range between positive and negative numbers, but even an unsigned int (assuming 4 bytes)...

please I need help with the data sheet INTRODUCTION The chemical and physical properties of substances are influenced by the way in which valence electrons are distributed and by the three-dimensional shape of the molecule or ion. X- ray and neutron diffraction, infrared, Raman and microwave absorption spectroscopy, as well as dipole moment measurements are used to ascertain the three-dimensional structure of a substance. Thus, techniques are available which can identify the geometry of substances. Results of these measurements generally...

Exercise 2 Separation of a Mixture Based on Acid-Base Properties One purpose of this exercise is to learn how to use a separatory funnel to extract a single component away from other compounds in solution. To do so, we will apply the principles of solubility and acid-base behavior you’re seeing in class. One of the compounds is neutral in the acid-base sense. It has no ability to either donate or accept a proton from an aqueous solution, and will remain...
