Design the first story shear wall for a three-story building with unfactored north- south lateral wind loads of 32 kips, 64 kips, 64 kips at the roof, third floor, and second floor, respectively. The floor-to-floor height is 12 ft and all shear walls have equal thickness and an equal length of 15 ft. Assume normal-weight concrete: fe' is 3000 psi and fy is 60,000 psi.

Note:
please the units that are in feet and inches if they can draw the shear wall

A one-story building shown has a concrete slab roof. The shear walls are all 10-inch concrete and also act as bearing walls. All the walls are 12 feet in height. The walls are assumed to act as cantilevers. Consider earthquake in the North-South direction. Determine the distribution of the shears on the shear walls. 1. Your team is designing the lateral load-resisting system for a two-story office building. To do so, you need to determine the wind loads on the lateral load-resisting elements. At this preliminary stage, consider the floor and roof diaphragms to be flexible, and consider the wind pressure to be uniform. Note that the south and east walls have been cut away so that we can see the system supporting them. 1. When the wind blows from the south, it creates...
