The Immunoglobulin that is most commonly used in immunochemical assays is IgG. The reason for this is that it is produced in large quantities in the serum in response to the presence of antigens in the body. It accounts for about 80% of all antibodies in the serum and hence, can be easily isolated for laboratory use.
Question 6
Well 1 has 78.3 mg/ml IgG
After 10-fold dilutions, Well 2 has 7.83 mg/ml IgG
After 10-fold dilutions, Well 3 has 0.783 mg/ml IgG
After 10-fold dilutions, Well 4 has 0.0783 mg/ml IgG
In order to convert mg (10-3) to g (10-6), we will multiply the number by 1000.
Hence, 0.0783 x 1000 = 78.3.
So, your answer is 78.3 g/ml.
