  • There is as such no easy way to remember the diseases for all the bacteria. But there are some similarities w.r.t genus . Those similarities are mentioned below.
  • Salmonella species causes infections related to intestinal  tract like gastro enteritis , typhoid etc.
  • The species term which ends with pneumonia causes infection related to lung.
  • E.coli causes gastro intestinal tract infection
  • Staphh. causes infection due to release of toxins from the bacteria.
  • Neisseria causes Meningitis and meningococcal infections.
  • Ricketssia are transffered from animals to humans through skin.
  • Bacillus normally doesnot infect human. If in case it does it is related to wound infections.
  • Strep. causes pneumonia, throat infections.
  • Clostridium causes wide range of infections. from pneumonia to sepsis , enteristis etc.. It depends on the type of clostridium strain.
  • Mycobacterium causes Tuberculosis and leprosy - depends on the species of mycobacterium.
