Despite being called as the super powers of the world, US is the sole industrialized nation in the world without universal health care coverage.There are many Americans who have their healthcare paid for by their employer. It is included as a fringe benefit in job packages. But many people do not have any medical insurance.The main funding sources for health care in the United States are the government, private health insurers and individuals. Among the Medicaid, Medicare and the other health care programs it runs, the federal government covers about half of all medical spending.National health reform campaigns in the 20th century were initiated and are continuously put in place to tell about various government initiatives in this direction and the methods by which this can be made easily accessible to the people. They make them aware and realize the steps necessary to take care of their health and issues related to it. They provide alternatives to those in desperate needs and make sure the help is given to those who seek for it.
