What makes a cake rise?
When making a cake you use baking powder or bicarbonate of soda,
(or use self-raising flour, which already contains baking powder).
Bicarbonate of soda contains carbon dioxide, which can be released
as a gas by reacting it with acid or by heating. As the carbon
dioxide is much bigger as a gas than it was in the bicarbonate of
soda, it expands, makes bubbles in the cake mix and so makes the
cake rise.
Another way is to beat lots of air into things containing eggs,
such as a souffl
In the short-run an increase in the costs of production makes A. output and prices rise. B. output rise and prices fall. C. output fall and prices rise. D. output and prices fall.
You just baked a cake for your friend's 21st birthday and you are late for the big celebration. You hop in your car which is parked at the top of a very long hill that makes a 30 degree incline with the horizon. The party is in a house at the bottom of the hill. The cake is sitting on the passenger's seat. The coefficient of static friction between the cake and the seat is 0.5. You carefully accelerate up...
The probability that a bakery customer will order a birthday cake is 08. (a) What is the expected number of customers until the first birthday cake is ordered? (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.) Expected number 12.5 (b) What is the probability the first cake order occurs within the first 39 customers? (Round your answer to 4 decimal places.) The process that makes bread rise during its preperation is the production of oxygen by glycolysis. True or False, then explain your answer.
The probability that a bakery customer will order a birthday cake is 08. (6) What is the expected number of customers until the first birthday cake is ordered? (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.) Expected number 12.5 (b) What is the probability the first cake order occurs within the first 39 customers? (Round your answer to 4 decimal places.) A cake is shaped like a hemisphere of radius 2 with its base on the xy-plane. A wedge of the cake is removed by making two slices from the center of the cake outward, perpendicular to the xy-plane and separated by an angle of ф Use a double integral to find the volume of the slice for φ- . Use geometry to check your answer. Now suppose the cake is sliced by a plane perpendicular to the xy-plane at x...
What's the difference between layer cake federalism and marble cake federalism?
What can we observe during the cake filtration of suspensions?
An economist makes an assumption that each additional year of education causes future wages to rise by 7 percent. In this model, if a person with 12 years of education makes $21 000 per year, then a person with 4-year college degree would earn ? per year. (Round your intermediate calculations to two decimal places.)
