1. CNS stimulants may be used in depression, but experts are not sure how exactly these stimulants will effect the brain. Thus, it should be used only with a combined medication upto a limit ., long term use may lead to negative effects which depends on the type of stimulants and severity of misuse.
2. It may cause lack of coordination, impaired sense of space.
3. Another effect like muscle weakness, lethargy, dizziness, problem in breathing, if used regularly.
4. Long term use may also cause Constipation, dry mouth, agitation.
These effects may further lead to more disorders and other problems to patients.
Also In case weight loss, the above side effects are applicable and overuse of these stimulants may also cause negative effects like
