Which of these statements about renal autoregulation using tubuloglomerular feedback is CORRECT?

Increased blood pressure stimulates juxtaglomerular cells to release their hormone, cortisol, which stimulate DCT to reabsorb salt.

Increased glomerular filtration rate stimulates macula densa cells to release their chemical signals that constrict afferent arterioles.

Decreased flow of filtrate stimulates juxtaglomerular cells to release their hormone, angiotensin II, which is a vasodilator.

Increased blood pressure stimulates atrial myocardial cells to release their hormone, atrial natriuretic peptide, which decreases glomerular filtration rate and increases renin release

Answer #1

ANSWER :

The macula densa cells are specific epithelial cells found in the lining of distal convulated tubule (DCT), function to detect sodium-chloride concentration in the tubular fluid, and release paracrine chemical signals to nearby juxtaglomerular cells of (JG apparatus) to control kidney nephron functions (include arteriole blood flow via vasoconstriction or dilation, glomerular filtration rate) via inhibiting or releasing renin enzyme. Hence the statement (2) is the correct answer regarding the renal autoregulation via using tubular feedback mechanism.
