12. both ADH and aldosterone act to increase blood volume.

Both ADH and aldosterone dependent on each other and they both conserve water by decreasing the amount of urine excreted. actually they signal a kidney to put water back to in the blood.

13. blood pressure is lowest in veins.

veins have lowest blood pressure because they carry blood back to the heart so blood pressure is low while returning to heart so the walls of veins are also thinner.,

otherwise in arteries highest blood pressure is found. it starts to drop from articles to capillaries and venules. so all other options are wrong.

14. angiotensin II stimulates vasocontraction, it stimulates the adrenal cortex to secrete aldosterone. and also it inhibit the action of bradykinin. so the correct option is D) does all of these.

16. which of these statements about gastric secretion of HCL is false?

HCL activates pepsinogen to convert it to pepsin. it also secreted by parietal cells and also HCL needed for maximum activity of pepsin. so false statement is B) it hydrolyzes peptide bond. because HCL does not hydrolyze peptide bond only enzymes can do that.
