Explanation
Select the longest carbon chain in such a way that carbon containing double bond gets lowest position. If we number the carbon atoms from right hand side, the doubly bonded carbon gets the lowest position i. e. Number one. Option Aand E are incorrect as both are alkanes i. e. the structures don't contain any double bonds. Hexane is a six carbon alkane bonded by single bonds. Pentane is a five carbon alkane bonded by single bonds.
