Write a C++ program that computes a student’s grade for an assignment as a percentage given the student’s score and the total points. The final score should be rounded up to the nearest whole value using the ceil function in the <math> header file. You should also display the floating-point result up to 5 decimal places. The input to the program must come from a file containing a single line with the score and total separated by a space.
If you can, explain in depth the process behind this code. I want to learn this. It also does not have to be fancy operations, it can be hard coded. Thank you.
Hi, Please find my implementation.
Please let me know in case of any issue.
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <cmath>
using namespace std;
int main(){
string infile;
cout<<"Enter the name of input file: ";
cin>>infile;
// opening input file
ifstream readScoreStrem(infile.c_str());
if(readScoreStrem.fail()){
cout<<"ERROR in opening input
file"<<endl;
return -1;
}
double student_total = 0; // to store total student
score
double total_all = 0; // to store sum of all total
double score, total; // to read curren line from file
while(readScoreStrem>>score>>total){ //
reading score and total from current line
student_total = student_total +
score;
total_all = total_all +
total;
}
//closing file
readScoreStrem.close();
// calculating percentage
double percentage = (student_total/total_all)*100;
int final_score = ceil(student_total);
cout<<"Final Rounded Score:

cout<<"Percentage:

return 0;

Write a C++ program that computes student grades for an assignment as a percentage given each student's score and the total points. The final score must be rounded up to the nearest whole value using the ceil function in the <cmath header file and displayed as a percentage. You must also display the floating-point result up to 5 decimal places. You must use at least 2 functions: one to print the last name of the student and another function to...
in C++ Create a program that will calculate a student’s grade average of 5 test scores and assign a letter grade for a student. The program should use a class to store the student’s data including the student’s name and score on each of 5 tests. The program should include member functions to 1) get the student’s test scores, 2) calculate the average of the test scores, and 3) display the results as follows: Test scores for Mary: 100 90...
Problem Specification:Write a C++ program to calculate student’s GPA for the semester in your class. For each student,the program should accept a student’s name, ID number and the number of courses he/she istaking, then for each course the following data is needed the course number a string e.g. BU 101 course credits “an integer” grade received for the course “a character”.The program should display each student’s information and their courses information. It shouldalso display the GPA for the semester. The...
In this assignment, you will write a program in C++ which uses files and nested loops to create a file from the quiz grades entered by the user, then reads the grades from the file and calculates each student’s average grade and the average quiz grade for the class. Each student takes 6 quizzes (unknown number of students). Use a nested loop to write each student’s quiz grades to a file. Then read the data from the file in order...
Write a complete C++ program that reads students names and their test scores from an input text file. The program should output each student’s name followed by the test scores and the relevant grade in an output text file. It should also find and display on screen the highest/lowest test score and the name of the students having the highest/lowest test score, average and variance of all test scores. Student data obtained from the input text file should be stored...

Program: Grade Stats In this program you will create a utility to calculate and display various statistics about the grades of a class. In particular, you will read a CSV file (comma separated value) that stores the grades for a class, and then print out various statistics, either for the whole class, individual assignments, or individual students Things you will learn Robustly parsing simple text files Defining your own objects and using them in a program Handling multiple...
[JAVA/chapter 7] Assignment: Write a program to process scores for a set of students. Arrays and methods must be used for this program. Process: •Read the number of students in a class. Make sure that the user enters 1 or more students. •Create an array with the number of students entered by the user. •Then, read the name and the test score for each student. •Calculate the best or highest score. •Then, Calculate letter grades based on the following criteria:...
I need help writing c++ code to make this program. 1. Define a function that can read the input file answers.dat. This function should not print anything. 2. Define a function that computes the quiz score of the function by comparing the correct answers to the student’s answer.
