A coworker takes credit for the excellent job you’ve performed. Frustrating! It’s probably happened to you or someone you know. How did it happen? Perhaps you shared an idea with a coworker and then hear her present it as her own in a meeting. Or perhaps you worked during the weekend to ensure that a project report is completed on time and your coworker takes credit for your initiative. Or maybe you resolved a conflict with a customer, but your department head reports the resolution as his own.

1. 6-11. What are some of the possible reasons for others taking credit for your work? Are any of the reasons justifiable? Why or why not?

answer-

according to me, taking credit of other's work and efforts is very unethical and immoral thing to do. there are many people at school, college, workplace you would encounter who do such activities. for example- in school, you work in a team and all the credit goes to team leader while team leader may not contribute nothing. at workplace, you may have come up with good product idea but your co-worker may have used it before you and get the credit. this may be you may have shared that idea with chatting with him.

the reasons according to me these people takes credit for other's work because they are jealous from other's people's growth, skills and knowledge. they take credit because they may have not the ability to work on their own and believe that it is waste of time and money to do such thing when you can steal other's idea. people who takes other's work, likes to show themselves as superior without doing nothing.

i think, there is not justifiable reason which can make this activity good because this activity itself is based on dishonesty, breaking of trust, stealing, no loyalty etc which are all bad human values. i think you can never justify because taking other's work is all depend on self interest and self benefit and making others look incompetent who actually done the actual work.
