Question

I'm doing a titration lab tomorrow and I am not sure what the formulas are to calculate the moles of NaOH, the moles of HCl, and the molarity of HCl.

The objective of this laboratory is to determine the molarity of a hydrochloric acid solution using a known concentration of sodium hydroxide as the titrant.

volume of HCl in flask: 25.00 mL

the net ionic equation for the reaction is:

H+(aq) + OH-(aq) --> H2O(l)

I don't have the data now since I haven't done the lab yet but how should I set up to figure out the moles of NaOH, the moles of HCl, and the molarity of the HCl solution.

Unknown hydrochloric acid solution letter: Molarity of standardized NaOH solution (include units) Volume of HCi Initial buret reading_ Final buret reading Write the net ionic equation for the reaction (include all phases) Titration Trial Titration 1 Titration 2 Titration 3 Results (show ALL work including units) Titration a Titration 2 Titration 3- Volume of titrant Moles of NaOH Moles of HC Molarity of HCl solution

    Standardization of NaOH: Acid Base Titration Objective: In this lab, you will accurately determine the concentration of a solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) using a 0.500M potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP) standard solution. Background: Acid–Base Titrations When an acid reacts with a base, a neutralization reaction occurs. The H+ ions from the acid and the HO– ions from the base combine to form water and are therefore neutralized. The other product of reaction is a salt. For example, hydrochloric acid reacts...
