Answer #1

Net ionic equation is

H+(aq) + OH-(aq) \rightarrow H2O(l)

Net ionic equation is

H+(aq) + OH-(aq) \rightarrow H2O(l)

As both are acid base neutralisation reactionsthe net ionic equations are same

Zn(s)+2HCl(aq) \rightarrowZnCl2(aq)+H2(g)

from reaction 1 mole of Zn reacts with 2 moles of HCl

Moles of Zn = 3.55 g / 65.39 g mol−1 = 0.054⋅mol.

now for 0.054 moles Zn

we require 0.108 moles HCl

volume = no of moles / molarity

= 0.108 moles / 2 mole L-1 = 0.054 L = 54 ml

Reaction

NaOH + HCl\rightarrow H2O + NaCl

formula is

M1V1=M2V2

0.179M * 55.5mL = X* 25.0 mL

X = (0.179M * 55.5mL ) / 25.0 mL

X = 0.397 M of HCL
