Answer #1

Four common pitfalls of distributed system design are below :

1. Software Complexity : It is difficult for Softwares to implement on distributed system because software has to simultaneously interact with many machinces.

2. Communication Network : Communication on distributed system is slower compared to other systems because different users access paths of network. Moreover if the network gets down somehow, then most functions of the distributed system will be disabled.

3. Security : As everyone has access of data which is flowing in the system, there's a possibility of user accessing unauthorized data. There is also a possibility of Eavesdropping Attack.

4. Limited Bandwidth : As the same bandwidth is used by all the users on the system hence, there's a possibility that one user is using a huge percentage of the bandwidth and hence the other users are nothing getting enough bandwidth to do the basics.
