Answer #1

The presence of this mountain range produces rain shadow effect in the western coast of the United States. The rain shadow has two opposite scenarios, in one side, its warm and dry and on the other side of the mountains, it's wet and cool. The water vapour present in the atmosphere condenses to form clouds and rises up continuously then finally descend down in the form of rainfall. Rain shadow effect induces the growth of vegetation and forests on it's wet and cool side of this mountain range while on the other side, i.e, on warm and dry, it has death valley.
