From the Moser-Dutton simplification, one can calculate the optimum rate of electron transfer (to within an order-ofmagnitude) by simply knowing the edge-toedge distance between donor and acceptor pairs, the graph taken form a textbook (Byphysics, Golbeck) shows you how you can estimate the rate just by knowing the distance
