Answer #1

In the novel author describes that historical facts and informations are altered to favor the needs of the totalitarian party. The facts of history are supressed and distorted to serve their purpose of creating confusion, questioning the authenticity of the historical facts and figures and projecting them as biased. Thus, the distorted historical facts and figures makes the totalitarian power unquestionable and more despotic.
