1. B. The bottling business required too much capital investment and time

Coca-Cola's initiative for vertical integration required it to buy its bottling partners which had a high capital investment and even though coca-cola tried to attempt and buy its partners, it had to sell them eventually to maintain operation due to the high cost of acquisition.
