1. Meristamatic tissue. The cells of Meristamatic tissue continue to divide and contribute to the growth of plant.

2. Mesophyll. Ground tissue in leaf is Mesophyll which again is divided into palisade mesophyll and spongy mesophyll.

3. Monocot has xylem and phloem arranged parallel.

4. Stele. Stele forms the central part of root comprising tracheids and vessels.

5. Vascular cambium. Vascular cambium give rise to lateral meristems and lateral roots.

6. In eudicot, xylem is arranged in the centre surrounded by phloem.

7. The stems that are are non woody are called herbaceous.

8. Eudicot plants have vascular bundles arranged in ring with pith concentrated at the core.

9. Woody plants undergo secondary growth from Cork cambium which results in the increase in thickness and ring formation.

10. Primary growth occurs at the epical meristems in stem and root.

11. Vascular cambium produces secondary xylem toward the inside and secondary phloem towards outside of the ring. During favourable season the xylem expands crushing adjacent tissues. When the favorable season is over the secondary phloem is used up by plant but the secondary xylem being hard gets set as annual rings.

12. The outermost covering of the leaf is called cuticle which is waxy, protecting the leaf and prevents water loss

13. Cells on either side of stoma which determine whether it is open or closed are called guard cells.

14. The characters mentioned are of a simple leaf and eudicot leaves have net pattern veins while monocot have parallel vein

15. Glucose is produced in chloroplast of leaves. Phloem takes the glucose away from leaves and distributes to the required parts. Glucose is stored in roots in plants like beet.

16. Stomata is the pore in leaf through which gaseous exchange takes place. Water also escapes through stomata so if more stomata are present on the upper layer the water loss will be more due to transpiration in sunlight. This could prove detrimental to plants in hotter areas.

17. Similarities of eudicot and monocot is that they are both flowering plants and have vascular system for transportation. The two major differences are monocot have one cotyledon while eudicot have two cotyledon and monocot have ring arrangement of xylem and phloem.while eudicot have xylem in the centre of the root surrounded by phloem.
