Given that, the null and alternative hypotheses are,

H0 : μ = 2.6

Ha : μ ≠ 2.6

This hypothesis test is a two-tailed test.

Test statistic is, T_{obs} = 2.44

Since, sample size is n = 225 is very large we used z-table to find the p-value for this hypothesis test.

p-value = 2 * P(Z > 2.44)

=> p-value = 2 * [ 1 - P(Z < 2.44) ]

=> p-value = 2 * [ 1 - 0.9927 ]

=> p-value = 2 * 0.0073

=> p-value = 0.0146

Answer : D) p-value = 0.0146
