Centralized data processing: Dumb terminals are used to access the terminals.

Data processing is performed in a single(centralized) terminal.

Distributed Data Processing (DPP): Data processing is distributed (Split) along the network.

Distributed data processing are considered to be low cost than cloud system

DPP is reliable than a centralized server.

Low Processing time and high performance will be achieved through DPP.

Decision making in a centralized processing system is easy and which makes the common policy.

Easy to manage and maintain.

Network issues and server problems occur in a central system may mislead to the wrong decisions

But decision making in the distributed system will be based on the location and the requirement oriented.

Easy to adapt to the scenario and take decisions quickly.

The decision making made easier in a distributed system.
