The answer is Sex-linked gene , It is a gene located in the Sex-chromosome. In humans the sex chromosomes are namely X chromosome and Y chromosome.

Females have a pair of X chromosomes, But Males have a Y chromosome instead of the other X chromosome in females.

That is ,

Females - XX ( Homozygous )

Males - XY ( Heterozygous )

A sex linked gene may occur in either one of these sex chromosomes.

If the sex linked gene is situated in Y chromosome, the heterozygous males only will dominate that , other than females.

We can't predetermine the sex of a baby , the chance to get a baby male or baby female is 50:50. Like that if the sex linked gene is dominately inherited which in present on Y chromosome , that will dominately inherited only in heterozygous (XY) peoples, that is males ( 50% ).

So the phenomenon is Sex linked gene.
