For prothrombin time test the sample can be stable if stored at 4 degree Celsius for 24 hours only.

Immunoglobulin G can cross placenta.

In secondary infection Imminoglobulin G appears in highest titre.

Most of the gepatitis virusre are spread through blood or blood products except Hepatitis A and Hepatitis E vitus.

HBeAg is the Hepatitis B merker which is the best indicator of early acute infection.

Other than serological markers antinuclear antibodies are found higher in viral hepatitis. Other merkers like absolute lymphocyte count is not significantly altered, lactate dehydrogenase and alanine amino transferase levels are higher in ischeamic hepatitis rather than viral hepatitis.
