Usability is the most important aspect of any design. It should mainly aim on suitability and comfort of users. There are following aspects of usability-
1. Efficient to use:- Efficiency of the system determines that how much support the user is getting in carrying out the normal tasks. Higher the support in task execution, higher will be the efficiency of system.
2. Modes of operation should be easy to remember- Memorability of operations of a system is an important criteria. It helps in easy learning of operations which becomes the basis of popularity of system.
3. Learning of mechanism should be easy- If the learning of mechanism of system is easy then it determines the wide base on which the system will be utilised. It ensures large productivity. It also reduces the chances of repetition of mistakes. It helps in increasing the accuracy.
4. Good utility:- It is the measurement which determines the extent to which the right functionality of a system can be ensured. It reduces the repairing cost. It provides a confidence to users that they will be able to get the benefits/services for a longer time without making unnecessary investment in maintenance. It also provides mental peace.
5. Effective usage:- Effectiveness of the system determines that how well the system/machinery is working in comparison of it's expected performance. We always have certain expectations from the performance of any system. If these expectations are met fully then the system can be said as fully efficient.
