Reading-

I am fond of reading since my childhood. I used to read story books for children and gradually developed an interest in reading. I prefer to read books related to spirituality and psychology.

The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore, The art of happiness by fourteenth Dalai Lama are my most favourite books.

Recently, (last month) i read the biography of the stormy Indian monk- Swami Vivekananda. The book was a fascinating one and provided new insights into the spiritual facets of life.

The futility of the materialstic aspects and on other hand, the perennial happiness through the consistent practice of devotion, work and meditation backed by patience, forbearence and purity of heart are atonishingly illustrated in the book.

I am a fluent reader and read by comprehending in detail. If i do not get the meaning of some sentences, i take a break and think over it. I may even search online to get it cleared and understood.

I am having a fine command on vocabulary and i am still working on it as it is the first prerequisite for good reading.

I have cultivated a habit of not mere reading but taking individual/ personal notes as well.

I am with a fine attention and concentration when i read.

I feel that "reading the lines, reading between the lines and reading beyond the lines - allare equally significant in becoming a good reader.
