After reading Nussbaum’s essay, consider your own career goals and what job you want with your degree. In this essay, identify and describe two distinct facets of the job that you want in which you will have to “cultivate humanity.” You need to argue that cultivating humanity is a value that you would have to display in these two facets of your job. If you don’t know what your job will be, take a guess, or even use a job that you now hold.

Nurses play a very important role in patient healthcare not only in hospital but also in different fields. Along with compassion for your patients , you need a high level of professionalism and ethics to thrive as a registered nurse

Many facets of nursing consider humanity. The most important thing is caring.

5 C's in caring are

• Commitment
• Conscience
• Competence
• Compassion
• Confidence

Nursing staff must continually dedicate themselves to putting their best foot forward. The act of committing yourself to work means going above or beyond normally expected behavior and trying to uphold strong values.

Conscience helps guide your actions even when focus on stress or personal matters can challenge the consistent application of best practices. Adherence to your own conscience will always help to put you on the right course

Compassionate nurses empathize with their patients and provide kind and considerate treatment at all times.

Problem solving, collaboration, treatment, response are some other facets of nursing . If these are properly practiced it increases the humanity in each.
