1.Write an essay about your future career choice( any career choice).

Here is the outline I would like you to follow:

I. Introduction (Provide an overview of your career and what it entails. Include a thesis statement that explains "I would like to become a ____________ because _____________________." Make sure you provide your topic (the career) and main idea (why?).

II.Body Paragraph 1 (Explain what first sparked your interest in this career field. Have you wanted to pursue this career since childhood? Do you have a relative in the field?)

III. Body Paragraph 2 (Explain the steps you have already taken (school, for one) to achieve your career goals. Have you had a job in the field? Internship?)

IV. Body Paragraph 3 (Explain your future steps to achieve your career goal. Certainly, completing school coursework will be one, followed by perhaps transferring to another school, etc. Maybe you plan to apply for an internship or gain more experience somehow.)

V. Conclusion (Describe your ideal position. Be as specific as possible. For example, if you are pursuing a career in nursing, do you want to work out of the country or not.

Answer:

Roots and Wings of my Life

Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. I believe I (or any person in this world) can best live his life by saving life of others. Yes,  I would like to become a paramedic because I believe that this unassuming profession is, in fact, the most humble, yet the most rewarding profession.

I first heard the word 'paramedic' when I was five and was around my Father who was solving a crossword puzzle. I learnt the meaning of the word early: "a person trained to give emergency medical care to people who are seriously ill with the aim of stabilizing them before they are taken to hospital". As time passed, when I heard about this word more often and saw the people who are into it, not only did my fascination for the profession increase and respect for all the paramedics who work relentlessly and selflessly surmount every other possibility of a career of choice, but also my resolve to be one became uequivocally resolute.

As I grew older, I gathered as much information about paramedical field as I could. I pored over books and internet, consulted career counselors, even met Mr. Grant Smith, the paramedic nextdoor. The more this field got unravelled, the more I realized that this was my call. I consulted my parents and chalked out a plan to make this dream a reality. I learnt early that requirements are highly demanding and uncompromising.

One needs to master life saving skills like treating wounds, performing CPR, performing patient assessments and even delivering babies. I will have to get my Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, and also get trained in advanced life support (ALS). Skills like the abillity to keep a cool head in times of extremely stressful situations, strong leadership quality to take the initiative and lead a team, quick decision making power are imperative to the profession. One mistake can mean the difference between life and death. It is a tough call, but the heart just wants what it wants.

As a last word, I would like to serve my city: my friends, my family and neighbors - my people. I consider it my privilege that I will be able to help my people cope stress and face risk at the most decisive moment of their lives. Just to be with them and know exactly what to do to save their lives - is it what it feels to be God?
