A saturated solution of carbon dioxide in water contains 3g of CO2 when the CO2 partial pressure is 8.0 atm. What mass of CO2 will escape if the partial pressure is lowered to 3.2 atm?

The answer should be 1.80g. I need the work shown to get this answer. Thank you in advance.

3 g CO2 / x = 1 / 44gco2 = .0682 mol

p1/p2 = n1/n2

8/3.2 = .0682/n2

n2 = .02728 m/L

.0682 - .02728 = .04092 = .04092 x 44 = 1.8 g
