Carnival Cruise Lines is one of the largest and most successful cruise line company in the world. The history of Carnival Cruise Lines started in 1972. The Chairman and CEO, Ted Arison, bought a sea liner for $6.5 million. The sea liner was named Mardi Gras and incorporated into the arrangement was another ship called the Carnivale.
