Relation between exposure requirement(sensitivity) and receptor speed is given by

Exposure (mR) = 128/speed

Given

Speed of image receptor = 230

Therefore Exposure = 128/230 =0.55 mR

ie, Exposure =0.5 mR (decimal rounded)

Image Receptor with true speed of 230 requires an exposure of 0.5mR to produce Optical Density of 1 unit above base plus fog level.
