explain why traditional taxonomic definitions and criteria don’t work well for Bacteria and Archaea.
Some of the features of bacteria and Archaea that distinguish one from the other.
The Archaea are prokaryotic organisms and lives in more extreme environment than bacteria. These do not have peptidoglycan in their cell wall. These have unique RNA and are not sensitive to antibiotics that affect bacteria but are some that affect eukarya.
The bacteria are prokaryotic and has peptidoglycan in their cell wall. These also have unique RNA and these are sensitive to traditional antibiotic. So,The organisms are grouped based on their differences in rRNA structures.
Traditional taxonomic definitions and criteria don’t work well for Bacteria and Archaea because Some species are similar organisms that can interbreed and produce viable offspring, and although prokaryotes can produce viable offspring they do not interbreed sexually but asexually. Prokaryote contains only two domains bacteria and archaea. In the traditional taxonomic classification all the prokaryotes were classified into a single domain called the largest taxonomic grouping and given the higher ranking. Bacteria are very diverse, ranging from disease causing pathogens to beneficial photosynthesizers and symbionts. These are found everywhere in the universe and in every ecosystem. Hence this is very difficult to identify their presence, hence later these bacterial domain was classified into 5 major groups. These both were classified based on the similarities in apperence, physiology, nutrition and the genes. This classification is no longer used because bacteria and archaea are so distant genetically.

Why is Streptomycin only effective against bacteria, and not archaea as well? I thought its mechanism of action had to do with its binding site on the 30S ribosomal subunit, but archaea have this as well, so why is it not effective against both? For reference, I was asked to explain how the mode of action of each antibiotic relates to the organisms in each domain. is down partenere a cyclo acteria on the basis of sensitivity to antimicrobial chemicals....

4. Draw an organic compound for each set of criteria, or explain why the criteria render a structure impossible: a) What is a single structure that has a constitutional isomer, a geometric isomer, and an enantiomer? Please draw the original structure, along with its constitutional isomer, its geometric isomer, and its enantiomer - or explain why a single compound cannot have a constitutional isomer, a geometric isomer, and an enantiomer. b) What is a single structure which is chiral and...

Explain why building a list in sorted order is an O(n2) operation. You don’t have to derive it with mathematical formality, but at least explain why, mathematically, it’s O(n2).

Please explain the solutions well. I have a test on this and i don’t understand it. 8. Antonio buys five new college textbooks during his first year at school at a cost of $80 each. Used books cost only $50 each.
