12. A twenty-five-year-old patient visited the office for the first time with a chief complaint of sunburn on his back. The doctor took a brief history, performed a limited exam of the back, and determined that there was little risk of complications and minimal treatment options.




13. Kathryn Matu was first seen in the office complaining of excessive weight gain in the body but thinning of her extremities and a "hump" on her upper back. She also noted a "moon-shaped" face, severe fatigue, irritability, nausea, and easy bruising. The patient was questioned in depth about the onset and pace of weight gain and her eating and exercise habits. A thorough PFSH revealed no family history of similar symptoms and all body systems were also reviewed, She wase examined thongs and given script for blood tests and asked to retum in one week.

15. A patient returned to the office with a complaint mammogram and needle aspiration biopsy. Patient was given complete instructions on preparing for the biopsy procedure. She was also extensively educated as to the options, both surgical and nonsurgical, pending intraoperative results of the biopsy. After much discussion, patient agreed to total mastectomy if the intraoperative biopsy results were adenocarcinoma.
