Answer #1

Sol.

Molarity of CaCl2 solution = 0.472 M

Volume of CaCl2 solution = 190.9 mL

= 190.9 / 1000 L = 0.1909 L

Moles of solute ( CaCl2 )

= molarity of CaCl2 solution × volume of CaCl2 solution

= 0.472 M × 0.1909 L

= 0.0901 mol

Molar mass of solute ( CaCl2 ) = 110.98 g/mol

Mass of solute ( CaCl2 )

= moles of solute ( CaCl2 ) × molar mass of solute ( CaCl2 )

= 0.0901 mol × 110.98 g/mol

= 9.999 g
