Solution:

A) The name of the compound which is reacted with CH3Cl/AlCl3 is 1-iodo-2-methylbenzene, hence the priority is given to Iodine. Therefore, methyl group must be added on p-position of Iodine.

B) The ethyl group gets priority over methyl group,therefore incoming CH3 group must be added to Ortho of Ethyl group.

C) The incoming CH3 group adds on ortho to CH2C=O group due to stability.
